What Else They Get
Putting a price on your product/service is one thing, demonstrating the value of it however sends a much more powerful message to potential customers. Here we need to think not about “what price we put against the thing we are looking to sell” but instead we need to focus on “what things we can put against the price we’re looking to sell”.
In essence, what we are looking for here is extra bonuses we can throw in to sweeten the deal. The more freebies or discounts you can add to your offering, the more appealing your offering becomes to your customers.
Examples:
- FREE Design Consultation (typically £250)
- 50% Discount on Partner Supplier Products
- FREE Patio Clean When I Wash Your Windows
- FREE Grass Seeds + Weed’n’Feed With Every Garden Mow
Exercise:
Put together a list of anything else you can do for your customer within the price you have already established for your product/service. How else can you use to add value to your offering and make it so tempting that your customers simply won’t be able to resist buying from you?
Tip: The key to this is to make sure you're listing things which won't cost you a great deal extra (ideally free to you) but will have a much higher perceived value to the customer.
